TORONTO, ONTARIO — For the first time, Quality and Company, will be launching a limited furniture collection with the well-known, but Toronto native artist, Daniel Mazzone. Daniel is known for his expressive, mosaic art pieces that reach far beyond our city. Notable collectors of his work include the Tanenbaum family, François-Henry Bennahmias, Randy Frankel and José Bautista to name a few. Though he often sells out his collections at his shows, Daniel is also commissioned by buyers to create unique, custom works that allow him to channel his creativity while simultaneously, integrating personal components into a piece.
Mazzone continues his journey of creative exploration and pushing the envelope with his unique style as he prepares for his much-anticipated return to Art Basel Miami Beach for his show, “Larger than Life” this December 1st, 2021. The exhibit will consist of exclusive new artwork, sculptures Yumi and the new Kuma and will debut the first piece of his new furniture collection, produced by Quality and Company.
Quality & Company is very excited to partner with Daniel to bring his vision to life. When first asked Daniel where his interest in furniture came from, he shared that it was always a passion of his. In his earlier years, he worked at a furniture store and always envisioned one day designing his own pieces. Now that he has built up his career, the timing seemed right to branch into something more. “Furniture is an extension of my creativity as most of my work ends up in people’s homes. It aligns with a lifestyle collection I’m already creating.” One of the distinct differences in Mazzone’s designs centers on a concept of furniture for the future. Not having a formal background in furniture, allows the artist to expand beyond conventional guidelines and go outside the box, reinventing industry standards and merging art with life.
Join us on December 1st starting at 5pm at Art Basel Miami, 2021 for the unveiling of our first piece from this collaboration and to view a sneak peak of what is to come in the Spring of 2022!
